Isle of Wight Stream Railway

Updated: Jul 9, 2019

The stream railway is a great day out for all of the family. Situated at Haven Street, the museum includes stream trains that you can take rides on, a museum of old engines and carriages, a cafe, shop and playground. We had a great time there as a family, especially riding on the trains up and down the tracks to the other stations (prams go in the guards car).

The cafe is fairly basic, and there is a picnic area if you prefer.

Additionally, on August bank holiday weekends they host the Island Steam Show. When we visited, this was a great day of steam engines, vintage vehicles, a motorbike stunt show, a dog show, fair ground rides, and even falconry with audience participation! We would happily go again.
